Amy Winehouse Has Emphysema
Amy Winehouse was suffering from the early stages of emphysema. Her father Mitch confirmed the Sunday Mirror in the UK, "With smoking the crack cocaine and the cigarettes her lungs are all gunked up. There are nodules around the chest and dark marks. She's got 70 percent lung capacity."
The troubled 24-year-old singer was hospitalized on June 16 after collapsing in her London home. Tests so far have ruled out tuberculosis, but her father says his daughter has serious health problems.
"She's got emphysema," he says. "It's in its early stages, but had it gone on for another month they painted a very vivid picture of her sitting there like an old person with a mask on her face struggling to breathe."
In case you are interested, emphysema is the same disease that caused the death of Hollywood actor Johnny Carson when he was 79 years of age.
Well, let's just pray Amy will stop taking drugs and start being serious on her health now.
