It Is Better To Give Than To Recieve
Last night, I came to a TV show where the anchor was interviewing a famous celebrity. The said celebrity claimed that she is doing some unpublished charity works. The anchor asked why she is participating in such act and the celebrity quoted "The more you give, the more you receive".
Her quote made me think last night. Okay, the more you give, the more you receive... Sounds like there is something wrong with her statement. Let me think.
I remember, even parents always tell their kids the quotes "Son, it's better to give than to receive". Teachers in grade school even mention on their Good Moral Character subject about this quote.
Yeah, it's true... it's better to give than to receive. But makes this statement wrong? Oh, nothing. Just that.. one will keep on expecting that when he gives something, he should be receiving something too.
Why can't anyone give without expecting something in return? Just thinking :(
