American Idol Season 7 Top 7 finalist David Archuleta sings When You Believe originally sung by Mariah Carey on his 4/15/2008 American Idol performance. Anyway, the judges comments on David Archuleta singing When You Believe:

Randy said "I was a little worried about tonight, absolutely worried about tonight because you knew boys singing girls songs and that's all kind of stuff.. and you probably pick one of the toughest one because that is a great effort Mariah and Whitney right?... If you can sing, you can sing anything. You ca sing anything. That was a bomb." Paula said "It must feel great for Mariah to be able to hear your interpretation of the song and I know you made him proud". Simon said "I would bet a million dollar in you choosing that song. I thought it was very very good."
