Erik Santos Sings In 2008 Beijing Olympics
Erik Santos, dubbed as Prince of Pop, is Philippines’ official representative for the 2008 Beijing Olympics and is set to sing
“I Believe I Can Fly” and “This is the Moment” for the closing ceremonies of the event.
In an interview, Erik confirmed he was contacted by the Chinese Embassy through ABS-CBN to let him know that he was chosen to sing. He is thrilled about being chosen to represent the country in the world’s biggest sporting event.
He is currently studying how he will render his song and and how he will introduce his song in Mandarin dialect. He also had his throat checked and was advised to vocalize daily.
Each country will be represented by their local celebrities during the Olympics concert, which is considered one of the major highlights of the Olympic games. Only two weeks to go before the 2008 Beijing Olympics!!!
