Bye Bye by Mariah Carey is the second single from her 11th studio album titled E=MC². IT was written by Mariah herself, Johnta Austin, and Stargate.

The single became available to download at iTunes on April 14, 2008.

MTV stated that although the song appears to be about her deceased father, Mariah Carey "extends this song about death to be for anybody who just lost somebody they truly care about and those who lost someone they hate, you still end up either feeling gulity or missing them". She believed that by making "Bye Bye" more open, "everybody could kind of be healed by the song and have their own experience listening to it."

Several news reports are circulating that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are already married, while some bloggers claim that they are still engaged.

According to Latina website, a source close to Nick Cannon has confirmed exclusively that Cannon and Mariah Carey are married. The couple wed on April 30, in a small ceremony on an island and it was "very implusive".

As added, only few close pals, including Da Brat, attended the wedding. However, there has been no official confirmation of the marriage yet.

Carey, 38, and Cannon, 27, have been dating for just two months and rumors began to swirl that the couple was engaged when Carey arrived to the April 26 Tribeca Film Festival premiere of her new movie, Tennessee, wearing a huge ring on her left finger. "Touch My Body" is a song co-written by American singer Mariah Carey, Christopher "Tricky" Stewart, Crystal "Cri$tyle" Johnson and Terius "The-Dream" Nash for Carey's 11th studio album, E=MC². It is the first single off E=MC². The single was produced by Carey and Stewart.

Todd Martens, Staff Writer, Los Angeles Times, stated: Touch My Body rides a relatively restrained slow-dance groove, with some light, orchestral-synth flourishes thrown in. The rhythm is almost completely carried by an effortless keyboard bump, the easygoing repetitiveness of which eventually wears the listener down, and sets up a delicate frame for Carey to sing around.

Brett Ratner is the director of the video. In an interview with AllHipHop.com, Ratner said, "Mariah is musically at the top of her game and has never looked better... This will be our 6th music video we have collaborated on and definitely the best one yet visually, as well as musically. The video for "Touch My Body" is the perfect combination of fantasy and comedy with Mariah looking more beautiful than she has ever looked, ever." The video also stars Jack McBrayer from 30 Rock, a show that Carey is a fan of. On March 5, the "Touch My Body" music video debuted at #1 on MTV's TRL countdown.
