The Day The Earth Stood Still is a 2008 remake of the 1951 science fiction movie of the same title. The plot was updated from a cold war man against man theme to a New Age concern of man against nature. Originally, the release date was scheduled on May 9, however, it was moved to December 12, 2008 in the United States and theaters worldwide.
The casts of The Day The Earth Stood Still are Keanu Reeves as Klaatu; Jennifer Connelly as Helen Benson; Kathy Bates; Jon Hamm as Dr. Granier; Jaden Smith as Jacob, Helen's rebellious eight-year old stepson.
20th Century Fox already released The Day The Earth Stood Still trailer however, due to copyright matters, the video clip was removed in Youtube.
