Bugoy Bogayan sung George Michael’s “As” during the night's PDA Season 2 Gala performance. The jurors gave him a score of 9.60 thus making him the star the scholar of the week. With the win, Bugoy will sing a duet with Sarah Geronimo on ASAP ‘08 soon, so watch out. Liezel and honorary scholar Poy are also part of the top three, who got the highest score for this week.

My Comment:
Since he was the sixteenth Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 scholar, I think he really deserved it... but I don't think he will stay long inside the academy. It's not that I don't like him, it's just a reality check. Who knows, I might be wrong. Remember, I thought David Archuleta wins in American Idol Season 7, but I was wrong. I could be wrong again this time.

Anyway, according to PEP majority of the viewers of Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 chose Ranjit “Jet” Singh to become the last scholar to enter the Academy. He is the replacement of Ma. Consuelo Osorio, who backed out due to personal reasons.

Jet (a.k.a. The Videojock) received 51.70 percent of the votes, making him the top choice compared to Hera “Banig” Redoblado of Davao (The Fighting Davaoeño), Catherine “Poy” Palma (The Obedient Daughter), and Lambert Reyes of Bulacan (The Singing Engineer). Lambert received 20.16 percent of the votes, Poy received 17.46 percent while Banig had the lowest percentage (10.68). When it was announced that Jet would enter the Academy as the 16th scholar, he burst into tears and could not stop crying even when he was welcomed warmly by his fellow scholars.

Notes on Laarni:
At a young age, Laarni left Sultan Kudarat to find a better life in Manila, but with the promise that when she came back home, fresh with accomplishments they could all be proud of, she would set the family free from the poverty.

In Manila, Laarni came face to face with more hardships and suffering.Without her family to turn to, she found a lot of friends who shared her interest and passion in singing. Through them, her knowledge in music was enhanced, boosting up her confidence to sing.

Her voice as her asset, Laarni found ways to send herself to school. To graduate from college would be the first step toward fulfilling her promise to her family. But when the opportunity for a showbiz career knocked, she chose to drop school for the meantime and give PinoyDreamAcademy a try.With PDA, she could find herself delivering her promise of achievements to her family earlier than she expected.

My Personal Comment On Laarni:
At first, I don't like Laarni because I thought her voice is just ordinary especially watching her videos during the audition. But I became her solid fan as I watch her GALA performances every Saturday night. I noticed her voice has quality and very versatile. She can song any song and every one is looking forward for her next performances. I believe she is one of the great contenders in the academy and I think she will be the star winner. I am her fan ;0
