The Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 Grand Dream Night was finally over last Saturday night and earlier tonight, the official ranking of the remaining top 6 were revealed.

Cris Pastor is the top 6 scholar of PDA 2 after only getting a total of 36,487 or 1.97% of the total tally of text votes. Van Roxas is thr top 5 scholar with 112,065 or 6.06% of the total text votes. Liezel Garcia is the top 4 scholar after getting a total of 247,346 or 13.36% of the total votes.

Miguel Mendoza, dubbed as “The Romantic Crooner”, is the 3rd Star Dreamer of Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 with a total of 253,412 votes or 13.69% of the total tally of text votes.

Bugoy Drilon, dubbed as "The Farmer's Son" is the 2nd Star Dreamer of PDA Season 2 with a total of 549,760 or 29.70% text votes.

And for the grand star dreamer? no other than my bet. Yipppeee!!! I posted before that the winner or the PDA Season 2 Grand Star Dreamer will be Laarni Losala or Lozada... and I wasn't wrong. Her fans and supporters just proved she deserved the honors after giving her a 35.21 % of total tally of votes or 651,696 votes.

Manalig Ka is interpreted and sung by Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 scholar Laarni Losala. It was arranged and composed by Ryan Cayabyab and included in the PDA's album titled Scholars Sing Cayabyab. Here's the lyrics of the song... The message is very clear, and just right for every one of us who has dreams, that you can achieve it if you have the faith ;0 Go go, Laarni... Last Week's star scholar Laarni Losala performed live in ASAP 08 and sung Hiram with Miss Zsa Zsa Padilla on Sunday, August 24, 2008. Actually, I missed her live performance because I overslept but good thing I found the video in Youtube. I was so impressed the way she sung and interpreted the song. I am a big fan of her and she's the main reason I watch PDA Season 2.. and she's also the reason why I always blog about her as possible.

If you also missed her in ASAP 08, I have attached here the clip and enjoy watching. I will support Laarni all the way because she really has an awesome, fantastic, and flexible voice.

Miguel and Inaki are the probees this week and obviously, I think the latter will go home, based from readers comments in forums... just an opinion.

Laarni Losala is the star scholar for today, August 16, 2008 9th Gala performance of PDA Season 2. Her score of 89.97% topped other scholars. Poy and Bugoy are part of the top three.

Meanwhile, Bunny Malunda was expelled from the academy last night too after getting only 39.65% text votes compared to her co-probee Sen Nichols who got 60.35% of the total votes.

The bottom four for this week are Cris, Sen, Miguel, and Inaki. Sen was saved my the mentors while Cris was saved by the scholars.

I watched PDA Season 2 second GALA night performances last night and I was so happy knowing Laarni Losala, Bugoy Bogayan, and Liezel Garcia are on the top three. Judging from the performances of other scholars, I think the three really deserved it.

Actually, I love the performance of Laarni and I was opting she will be the "Star Dreamer", but Liezel did (for the second time). Well, I like the Liezel's voice and I think she deserve it too, but based on the performances, Laarni's was better. But maybe the judges saw something I didn't.

Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 First Probation Night was held last night. Among the four bottom scholars (Bea Muñoz, Christian Alvear, Iñaki Ting, and Laarni Losala), two of them were concluded as the first probationary scholars and one might go home next week.

Laarni and Iñaki are this week’s probationary scholars. Christian was saved by the mentors while Bea was saved by the other scholars.

The fate of Laarni and Iñaki are now in the hands of the televiewers through SMS votes and the result will be announced on the next Gala Night. Vote now!!!

Notes on Laarni:
At a young age, Laarni left Sultan Kudarat to find a better life in Manila, but with the promise that when she came back home, fresh with accomplishments they could all be proud of, she would set the family free from the poverty.

In Manila, Laarni came face to face with more hardships and suffering.Without her family to turn to, she found a lot of friends who shared her interest and passion in singing. Through them, her knowledge in music was enhanced, boosting up her confidence to sing.

Her voice as her asset, Laarni found ways to send herself to school. To graduate from college would be the first step toward fulfilling her promise to her family. But when the opportunity for a showbiz career knocked, she chose to drop school for the meantime and give PinoyDreamAcademy a try.With PDA, she could find herself delivering her promise of achievements to her family earlier than she expected.

My Personal Comment On Laarni:
At first, I don't like Laarni because I thought her voice is just ordinary especially watching her videos during the audition. But I became her solid fan as I watch her GALA performances every Saturday night. I noticed her voice has quality and very versatile. She can song any song and every one is looking forward for her next performances. I believe she is one of the great contenders in the academy and I think she will be the star winner. I am her fan ;0
