Asero lead star Richard Gutierrez will be playing the lead role of GMA-7s upcoming primetime TV series titled Zorro. In relation to this, Richard is now doing fencing lessons in preparation with the said show. There is no official date yet on when it will be shown nationwide, but there is a rumor it will replace Codename: Asero.
By October, Gagambino starring Dennis Trillo will be aired in the said network so watch out for it. I think it will replace Ako Si Kim Sam Soon starring Regine Velasquez.

Fortunately, it is no longer available - it was removed due to copyright issues. Thus, I can no longer post the video here. According to some people who have heard it, the voice is very Britney.

You heard it right, American rapper 50 Cent will be visiting the Philippines on October 3, 2008. He will have a live concert at the PSC Multipurpose Arena (formerly ULTRA) and perform some of his hit songs like “In Da Club”, “21 Questions”, etc.

City of Ember Movie 2008
City of Ember is a 2008 fantasy adventure movie adapted from the 2003 novel of the same title written by Jeanne Duprau. The film is created by the same group who made the popular movies Chronicles of Narnia and Bridge to Terabithia. It stars Bill Murray as The Mayor of Ember, Toby Jones as Barton Snode, Saoirse Ronan as Lina, Tim Robbins and Martin Landau.

The 60th yearly Primetime Emmy Awards 2008 will be air on Sunday, September 21, 2008 presented at Nokia Theatre, Los Angeles, California. The ceremony will be televised live on ABC but it will be tape delay on the west coast.

The Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 Grand Dream Night was finally over last Saturday night and earlier tonight, the official ranking of the remaining top 6 were revealed.
Cris Pastor is the top 6 scholar of PDA 2 after only getting a total of 36,487 or 1.97% of the total tally of text votes. Van Roxas is thr top 5 scholar with 112,065 or 6.06% of the total text votes. Liezel Garcia is the top 4 scholar after getting a total of 247,346 or 13.36% of the total votes.
Miguel Mendoza, dubbed as “The Romantic Crooner”, is the 3rd Star Dreamer of Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 with a total of 253,412 votes or 13.69% of the total tally of text votes.
Bugoy Drilon, dubbed as "The Farmer's Son" is the 2nd Star Dreamer of PDA Season 2 with a total of 549,760 or 29.70% text votes.
And for the grand star dreamer? no other than my bet. Yipppeee!!! I posted before that the winner or the PDA Season 2 Grand Star Dreamer will be Laarni Losala or Lozada... and I wasn't wrong. Her fans and supporters just proved she deserved the honors after giving her a 35.21 % of total tally of votes or 651,696 votes.

Bangkok Dangerous is a 2008 remake of the 1999 film with the same title originally written by Pang Brothers. The movie's official release date was September 5, 2008. It star Nicholas Cage portraying a role of a hit man who is sent to kill four people in Bangkok.
To give you more idea about the movie, just watch the online preview of Bangkok Dangerous below. Currently, an approval rate of 11% by 44 viewers were already tallied in Rotten Tomatoes website. I haven't watched the movie yet, but I will give a review on the movie once I did.

Keith Agovida, 18-year-old basketball player of the Jose Rizal Light Bombers team of Jose Rizal University’s (JRU) high school, set a record for scoring 82 points within 37 minutes last night, Friday at the Cuneta Astrodome. Agovida is now considered as NCAA’s highest scorer in over 80 years after surpassing the previous record of 71 points set by Erwin Bolabola.
Despite Agovida's success, the Light Bombers team remained third in the standings with an 8-4 card, behind four-peat seeking San Sebastian and Letran. Also, Mapua finished the season winless in 12 games.

Angel - Piolo Movie ‘Land Down Under' Shooting
Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin started shooting their first movie team-up titled ‘Land Down Under’. It was directed by Rory Quintos and scheduled on released in theathers nationwide on November 12, 2008 in line with Star Cinema's 15-year anniversary.
The first-day shooting of the Angel Piolo movie shoy at Pasugong and Malaybalay, Bukidnon. Shooting will last for 28 days. After Bukidnon, the cast and crew will fly to Darwin, Australia for another set of shooting.

Iwa Moto - FHM Magazine September 2008 Covergirl
Iwa Moto is the covergirl of FHM Philippines September 2008 edition. This is already the second time that the StarStruck alumni and Filipino-Japanese star Iwa appeared on the cover of the premiere men’s magazine. She also graced on FHM last December 2006.
Iwa celebrated her 20th birthday on August 29 and stars in GMA-7 afternoon drama Magdusa Ka with Katrina Halili.
